BABY BOY HOULIHAN!

The Houlihan Family had another baby boy!

These are for Little Boy Houlihan, born 8/15/07!

Baby Shower:  9/22/07

Good ole Red Heart SOFT from my Stash!

I had enough to make the little hat, too!

TWO OUTFITS FOR

My Notes:

The jacket was knit in one piece

with collar picked up along neckline edge.

The only seams are up the sides and

over under the arms.

The jacket and hat took a few days.

Both very very easy patterns.

My Notes:

This was easy, too.

It took exactly one day!

There was a problem or

"glitch" with the neckhole sizing.

I had to leave the left shoulder

open and add "button and loop"

closures to enlarge the

neckhole for the baby.

Without the adjustment, the

neckhole was about the

size of a large orange!

Also,

I had to increase the

length of the sleeves.

The pattern directions

were wrong about the

finished length of the

sleeves.  Fortunately,

I have knit many baby

things...and knew that

I had to add several inches.

Otherwise, it would have

come out looking like a

short-sleeved pullover.

Cute as it it, I would not

recommend this pattern

for a new knitter.
