Scarf #1:  Viking Cables Scarf                            Yarn:  Rowan "Tapestry"
Scarf #2:  Braided Cables Scarf                                      Yarn:  Rowan "Tapestry"
My Notes:

The pattern for this
Braided Cables Scarf
in in the new book called
"Untangled Cables".

It is so easy, you don't
have to follow the chart
after the first few repeats,
however, you do need to
use stitch markers to
designate the cable
repeats sections.

My Notes:

The pattern for this cable design is in
a vintage Elsebeth Lavold Book:
"Viking Knits"  The very first one.
She doesn't even show it on her website.
Probably because she wasn't using her
signature yarns yet...and KFI was not
producing or  publishing her line.

It is a cable design she featured in one of the
sweaters, and I just liked it.  It was easy
to take the cable pattern, add some other
cabling and stitches on each side of it
and fill up the width needed!

Open any Celtic Cables book and find
an intricate 20 st cable you like...and
incorporate it into a scarf of your own!
